The Grange

The American historical meaning of “Grange” refers to The National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry, a grassroots organization founded in 1867 after the Civil War. It was created to support farmers and strengthen rural communities through cooperation, education, and advocacy.

Originally, the Grange helped farmers organize for better prices on crops and supplies, promoted agricultural education, and provided a social hub for isolated rural families.

Grange halls—community buildings where members met—became important centers for local gatherings, discussions, and events in farming communities across the U.S.

So to pay homage, we have named our DebRene Farms event center, The Grange.
